For over thirty years, Tariq Ali has been a leading spokesperson for movements against war and empire, and his books, poetry, and documentaries have inspired people the world over.

In this public lecture, internationally-acclaimed writer and activist Tariq Ali will analyze the situation in the Middle East today. In looking at the resistance in Afghanistan, Lebanon, Iraq and Palestine.

This event is being hosted by the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 3903 International Solidarity Working Group.

The goal is to build support for the national day of protest on October 28th against Canada's war in Afghanistan.
